New Features Online Ordering
Online Ordering features
- Uber Eats menus now follow item order type — Items set to pickup-only or delivery-only now appear only on the matching Uber Eats menu. A menu that would be left empty is not published.
- Brink delivery destinations for marketplace orders — Brink POS restaurants can now send marketplace delivery orders to a separate destination from pickup orders, and an ezCater destination can be set. Availability: requires operator action, as orders keep using the existing destination until a Delivery Destination is set.
- Custom Feedback Questions in Enterprise Settings — Custom Feedback Questions can now be set up in Enterprise Settings on every plan with feedback enabled.
- Feedback bar in the Access native tab — Merchants using Online Ordering inside Access can rate the page they are using and leave feedback from a bar at the bottom of the screen. Availability: shown only inside the Access native tab once feedback is set up.
- Order Experience Builder: Stripe Link payments — Guests can now pay with Stripe Link at checkout, and the payment amount updates if the order total changes. Availability: rolling out gradually and switched on per merchant.
- Order Experience Builder: menu recommendations carousel — A recommendations carousel can now appear at the top of the menu page on desktop and mobile. Availability: requires operator action for custom menu templates, which may need the carousel added.
- Order Experience Builder: cross-sell quantity selector — Cross-sell suggestions now have increase and decrease buttons, so guests can add more than one of a suggested item. Quantities respect each item's minimum, default and available quantity, and points balances for points-based items.
- Order Experience Builder: delivery instructions — Guests can now add delivery instructions on the delivery address form, including for saved addresses. Text they have typed is kept when they switch addresses, and the instructions appear in order history. Length is capped by the restaurant's notes limit, which is 1,000 characters by default.
- Order Experience Builder: nutritional links in the footer — The footer can now show calorie information, plus links to nutritional details and a nutritional PDF. Availability: requires operator action, as restaurants need to add their nutritional details first.
- Order Experience Builder: app banners for mobile apps — Supported mobile browsers can now prompt guests to open or install the brand's app. Availability: requires operator action, as mobile app links must be turned on for the merchant.
- Order Experience Builder: locations filter — The "All" option has been removed from the locations filter. It now defaults to Restaurants, with Catering as the other tab.
- Order Experience Builder: stronger password rules — Registration and password reset now require at least 8 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, a number and a special character. The requirements are shown on the forms.
- Order Experience Builder: scroll to missing options — If a guest tries to add an item without a required choice, the page scrolls to and highlights the first missing option group.
- Order Experience Builder: scroll to checkout errors — If checkout is submitted with missing or invalid fields, the page scrolls to and highlights the first error.
- Order Experience Builder: default Lily colours — The default Lily theme now uses Access Group red with matching secondary colours. Merchants using the default theme will see the new colours.
