Proportional Discount Application on Taxed Items
Orders in British Columbia that include beverages now apply discounts proportionally across all items, including those subject to Provincial Sales Tax (PST). When a discount is used, the amount is allocated based on each item's price, ensuring that the PST for beverages remains accurate and is not removed unintentionally.
Quick Start Order Flow
You can now allow guests to begin an order immediately, without selecting account, order type, or time upfront. The order type and time default to merchant-configurable settings, with "ASAP" as the standard default, and these preferences can be changed in merchant admin. This quick start behavior is configurable, so you choose whether guests see the streamlined flow or the existing picker for type and time. For testing purposes, it's possible to direct a portion of traffic to each flow. Orders started with the quick start option are tagged for reporting and analysis. This release supports the foundation of the feature.
