New Features

Messaging - Journey Builder

Introducing: Journey Builder

Instead of manually setting up individual campaigns and account filters, marketers can now design sophisticated lifecycle journeys that automatically trigger personalized messages based on customer behavior—like whether they opened an email, redeemed a reward, or visited a location. The tool eliminates the time-consuming overhead of coordinating multiple campaigns and segments, allowing you to focus on creative strategy while Journey Builder handles the automation. From simple welcome series to complex re-engagement flows, you can build journeys as straightforward or sophisticated as your marketing goals require—all within a single, intuitive canvas.

Journey Builder - New Decision Action: Segment Member.

With this new decision gateway, you can split an audience by their inclusion or exclusion of a pre-built account filter.  Want to send different messaging based on tier?  Number of visits?  Purchase patterns?  Anything is possible with this new option!

Journey Builder - Recurring Scheduling.

We know this one was needed.  With this feature, you may now set up a journey campaign to run on a recurring schedule.

Loyalty

Modernized Report History Page

The Report History page has been redesigned with an updated table layout that includes search and sorting options. The page appears under Report Center in the left navigation and is labeled as Report History.

Primary Card Number in P+ API Submissions

The P+ API now consistently transmits the Primary Card Number associated with an account in all transaction submissions. This includes submissions initiated by any card or identification method. This change more closely aligns with Altria’s goal for a singular guest identifier.

Recharge Threshold Display for Guest Accounts

The recharge threshold for individual guest accounts is now visible to CSR users on the Auto-Recharge settings page during account lookup. This information provides a clear view of the current threshold values applied to each guest, allowing you to see what recharge rules are configured without additional navigation.

Auto-recharge Enhancements

Auto-recharge settings now allow you to select a custom minimum balance threshold for triggering automatic reloads, instead of only the previous fixed options. The user interface has also been updated to display the auto-recharge schedule and expected charge dates clearly within your account settings.

Gift

eGift Improvements

You can now track the status of eGift cards—including delivered or opened status—re-send eGift cards to recipients, and categorize gift card images by occasion such as “Birthday,” “Thank You,” or “Holiday.” The eGift experience now supports associating card designs with categories to help with selection, and prepares for future support of animated GIFs as images. Additionally, integration points have been introduced for third-party sites to manage eGift orders through APIs similar to current order lookup processes.

Updates & Fixes

Loyalty

Support for Altria getContentV2 API with Multiple Offers

The Altria integration has been updated to call Altria's new getContentV2 API endpoint, enabling the system to support multiple offers per user when retrieving offer content. Before the October go-live for multiple offers, responses from this endpoint will remain consistent with the previous version.

Customer Facing Loyalty Display for Square POS

You can now look up PX loyalty accounts and display loyalty information directly on the Square customer facing display. Guests are able to check in, view their rewards, and redeem offers from the customer display during the checkout experience at Philz Coffee locations.

Gift

Web Sale Image Upload Fix

A bug was resolved that prevented clients from uploading web sale images. This has since been resolved and currently images are immediately available for use in your promotions and listings.

Mobile

Android 15+ Device Compatibility (NextGen App + Branded App)

The NextGen App now supports 16 KB page sizes required for Android 15+ devices, ensuring compatibility with newer hardware and meeting Google Play's November 2025 requirement for all apps targeting Android 15 and higher.

Order Submission Fix for Migrated Card Batch with Leading Zeros (NextGen App)

A defect was fixed in the NextGen App that prevented orders from being submitted by users with card numbers that began with the number zero.

Rewards Redemption on Mobile (NextGen App)

A bug was resolved in the NextGen App that prevented users from applying rewards to their order without an endless loading animation.

Card Change After Tipping in Mobile App (NextGen App)

Guest’s selected credit card now stays selected after adding a tip to mobile orders. Previously, some guests experienced an issue where the payment method would unexpectedly change during checkout.

Improved Error Handling for Store List Metadata (NextGen App)

When you upload a store list with metadata fields containing wrapped quotation marks, the app now prevents the entire locations list from failing. Instead of encountering a “Something went wrong” error, the affected list will remain accessible and usable, even if some metadata fields include unexpected formatting.

Menu Item Scheduling Support in Olo (Branded App)

The app now respects the scheduled availability settings configured for menu items in Olo. When viewing a menu, you only see items that are currently active based on their start and end dates, matching the behavior of the Olo website. Attempting to access a menu outside of these scheduled windows no longer shows expired or upcoming items, and you are prevented from ordering items that are not available at the current time.

Olo Menu Item Configuration Support (Branded App)

Default quantities and increment values configured in Olo are now properly applied to menu items in the Branded App.
