Loyalty

Square Comp Card Redemption with POS

You can now redeem Square comp cards directly through the point of sale. The initial loyalty lookup screen includes a new option for comp card lookup, allowing you to enter a comp card number using the on-screen keyboard. Once entered, the app supplies a redemption flow similar to loyalty account redemptions, and it supports using both loyalty rewards and comp cards on the same check.

Report Generation Errors Resolved

We've resolved errors that were preventing two key reports from generating properly. The Fraud Cashier Activity Summary Report and the Stored Value Money Movement By Store Summary Report now run successfully without error.

Email Builder: Fix for "Failed to update database" Approval Error

You can now approve email templates in the Email Builder without error. This update resolves an issue where some users experienced database errors when attempting to approve certain templates, despite being able to save changes successfully.

Upgraded SDKs and Development Tools (Branded and NextGen App)

We've upgraded our development infrastructure across both the Branded and NextGen Apps to ensure seamless compatibility with upcoming operating system updates. This comprehensive modernization includes updating to the latest versions of essential development tools and SDKs, including Android Studio, Flutter framework, Guardsquare security tools, and Spreedly payment processing. Your applications now leverage the most current development tools and frameworks, ensuring optimal performance and full compatibility with the latest OS requirements. This proactive upgrade maintains app stability while preparing your apps for future releases.

Faster Locations List Loading (NextGen App)

The locations list now loads much faster by fetching a streamlined set of location details before displaying the menu. You experience significantly reduced wait times when moving from the landing page to the menu, even if location access is enabled or only one location is available.

Gift Card Payments with Auto Tip (NextGen App)

When you apply a gift card payment that covers the full balance and brings the total to zero, the basket screen now handles Auto Tip correctly. If tipping with a gift card is not enabled by the client, you can complete the order by adding an additional payment method.

ASAP Date and Time Selection Fix with Additive Lead Times (NextGen App)

When placing an order with the "ASAP" option selected and Additive Lead Times enabled, you are no longer required to select a date and time again on the basket screen. The workflow now recognizes the ASAP selection and skips additional prompts, allowing Lead Time calculations to occur without redundant input.

Crash Fixes (Branded Apps)

This update addresses specific stability issues identified through Crashlytics in the Firebase console for both iPhone and Android branded apps. The underlying code has been updated to resolve known crash triggers that previously led to application interruptions on certain devices and usage scenarios. These improvements result in enhanced app stability and a more reliable user experience across all supported platforms and device configurations.
