New Features: Online Ordering

Revel Order Submit for Catering

Improved the order submission process by specifying that the Revel API uses the catering menu. This update ensures accuracy when processing catering orders, meeting the specific requirements of the Revel system for menu identification.

Image Scaling for Menu Item Logos

Enhancements have been made to improve the display of menu item images. When no specific image is available and the restaurant logo is used, the image mode will default to "scale" instead of "crop" to ensure optimal presentation. This adjustment ensures logos are displayed elegantly without cropping, providing a better visual experience across menus.

Pizza Picker Defaults Improvements

Addressed an issue where guests could deselect a topping for the whole pizza while the left and right halves remained selected, causing confusion. Now, if a topping is deselected for the whole pie, it will also be removed from the left and right halves to ensure consistent selections.

Order Identifier Enhancement for Revel Integration

Enhanced the Revel integration with the functionality to include a distinct identifier for online orders, addressing a critical client need. Previously, unique prefixes were used in the old integration to prevent duplication issues when identical PX order numbers were encountered across different locations. This update ensures each order retains a unique identity in Revel, eliminating confusion for employees and ensuring accurate assignment of order numbers. This enhancement improves operational efficiency by making it easier for staff to distinguish between online and offline orders, preventing errors in loyalty program point allocation.

Guest Group Ordering via UI

Empower your customers with the ability to enable or disable guest group ordering directly within the UI, eliminating the need for support intervention. This enhancement introduces a 'Group Ordering' option accessible through the Settings dropdown, streamlining the process for users to manage their group ordering preferences independently.

Toast Order-Ready Notifications

Enhancing our integration with Toast, we now ensure more reliable order-ready notifications by utilizing the order-update webhook. This advancement addresses the issue where note items or open items previously hindered the fulfillment process, preventing complete updates.

Improved Restaurant Identification for UberEats

We have resolved marketplace failures related to restaurant identification from UberEats submissions. Previously, an inability to recognize the restaurant from the provided store code was causing disruptions. By enhancing our integration, we have significantly reduced these occurrences and improved our ability to connect stores accurately, ensuring a smoother experience for both users and restaurant partners.

Loyalty Reward Redemption Control

The system now prevents Online Ordering from sending a redemption to Paytronix Loyalty, ensuring that loyalty rewards are not removed from a guest’s account if the "Enable loyalty" checkbox is unchecked. This update addresses the issue where rewards could previously be applied automatically or retrieved as eligible discounts, despite loyalty being disabled. It fortifies the integrity of loyalty applications, ensuring only authorized redemptions are executed.

Improved the Apple Pay integration to ensure orders are submitted automatically upon payment confirmation, eliminating the need to reselect tip options.

Support SkipGo TargetCollectTime

Set a target pickup time with SkipGo for delivery orders that are less than one hour but more than 15 minutes.

Handling Delivery Address in Storefront Experience

Resolved an issue where orders from DoorDash with "storefront" experience were incorrectly passing a delivery address to the POS, causing order rejections due to mismatched delivery settings.

'Repeat This Order' Button Fix

Resolved the issue where the 'Repeat This Order' button in the guest receipt email did not add the previously ordered items to the cart.

Mismatch in Menu Availability Times

Resolved the issue where Marketplace Management orders were rejected if placed before a menu switch due to differences in menu availability times.

Manual Nutritional Information Entry

Fixed the issue preventing the display and manual entry of calorie counts and nutritional information in sync POS systems for locations using Square POS.
