Program Booster

Improvements to the Card Activity Detail Report

The Card Activity Detail Report (CADR) now runs faster, enabling you to access your transactional information more quickly. All clients will benefit from the optimization of the CADR, and the Customer Resource Center has more information on running this report. The CADR is found in the report section of the merchant interface.

New “BACK” Button

All “BACK” buttons now read “GO BACK.” This enhancement spans across the entire merchant website but is most prominent in both the campaign tool and the Campaign Builder. Most clients are likely to notice this change immediately.

Enhancements to the Analytics Page

1)      Expanded View for Analyzers

This new feature provides an expanded view of each dashboard so you can look at more on your screen. The expanded view is accessed by collapsing the Dashboards navigation on the right-hand side of the Analytics tool, making each dashboard larger on your screen. In the screenshot below, the triangle on the right would let you reopen the list.

2)     Smart Search

A “smart” search bar is now found in the right-hand navigation. Dashboards will surface based on the keywords you enter, so that you can access the correct ones quickly to monitor your program performance. For example, if you’re trying to find metrics on visits in your program and you are not sure which dashboard to look at, you can simply type “visit” in the search bar and all relevant dashboards will surface.

3)      New Dashboards and Analyzers

As new features are added to the core platform, new reports and visualizations are added as well. The standard dashboards that are now available include:

  • Program Dashboard
  • Spend by Time of Day
  • Visit and Spend
  • Mobile Check-ins and Downloads
  • Enrollment Detail
  • Geofencing
  • Real-Time Messaging
  • Subscriber Overview

In addition to new dashboards, interactive analyzers are now available. This tool enables you to drill down into your program data to gain insights about guest engagement. Analyzers can be found in their own dropdown section of the right-hand navigation in the Analytics tool, as seen in the screenshot below. This feature is available to clients running their core program through Paytronix. For more information on how to use this new feature, check out this webinar on the topic: http://content.paytronix.com/analytics-tool-training-on-demand.html. For written instructions on using this feature, click the “Help” button on the Analytics page to access the Customer Resource Center.

4)      Saving Custom Analyzers

This feature enables you to save an analyzer you are working on and come back to it later. You can save your ad hoc views so they are only visible to you, or you can save them in a group space where they will be visible to your organization. For written instructions on how to save custom analyzers, click the “Help” button on the Analytics page.

Supporting Real-Time Voids Through Blackhawk

Real-time voids will reduce the amount of gift card fraud due to fraudulent voids. This change also enables marketers to leverage additional sales channels where this is a requirement, such as on Amazon. This feature is available to all Paytronix gift card customers.

Archived Wallets in Reports

This new feature enables your reports to show archived wallets if they were pulled for a period when a particular wallet was active. Marketers will benefit by being able to view the data on previously active rewards. IT teams can keep imported files smaller and more manageable while putting past data at the fingertips of marketers. Available to all merchants, this feature is particularly useful for clients leveraging Wallet Manager.

Combo Rewards at a Fixed Price

This feature enables you to designate multiple items for a single fixed price. For example, the amount for a pizza slice, a drink, and chips might be $5.99. This new reward option is available to clients leveraging an existing check service integration. POS and online ordering integrators will need to add support, but once that has happened, a technical consultant can set up the combo reward.

Buy-One, Get-One (BOGO) Rewards in Wallet Manager

Marketers can set up BOGO rewards in the self-service wallet manager UI without having to call a technical consultant. This feature is available to customers leveraging the check service.

Extra Configuration Options for Wallet Manager

Wallet Manager now enables you to configure extra options that aren’t presented directly in the user interface. This development provides access to every configuration parameter that can be submitted for a wallet, reward, or product. Marketers benefit by being able to expand the setup of offers and configure self-service aspects.

New Fuel Price Endpoints

Customers are able to submit all store fuel prices, including those with special discounts, to our system. Mobile apps and guest websites can now retrieve fuel prices using these new endpoints. This feature requires API calls to our system, so the integration must be certified. Please reach out to your technical consultant to initiate the certification.

Toast Gift Card API Integration

Clients using Toast POS and Paytronix gift cards are able to leverage this new integration to improve their technical ecosystem. As a continued commitment, we have written to Toast’s gift card APIs so customers can benefit from this strong partnership.

Public Access to the uploadBatches Endpoint

Integrations can now be built using the uploadBatches endpoint, which enables third parties to post batches of checks to the API in something close to real time as opposed to setting up a nightly check export from an internal data warehouse. This feature is available with the correct permissions, so please ask your technical consultant about activating it to save time on check exports. The documentation is found here: http://developers.paytronix.com/pxs_api_reference/check.html.

The Popdeem SDK is a social engagement tool that enables clients to drive social activity. Its latest version, 1.4.2, is available to all clients using the Popdeem and Paytronix mobile app.

Additional Security for Gift Cards in Native Olo Flow

As an added security measure, an individual’s registration code is now required when redeeming stored value through the native Olo flow of the branded app. Clients using gift cards in the branded app can add this security layer during their next app update.

Native Olo Ordering for Guest Users

Guest users (those who are not loyalty members) can access locations through the side navigation and place online orders without signing in. This is beneficial to marketers because they can get more orders through the branded app without requiring guests to sign up for the rewards program first. Clients will gain access to this feature during their next app update.

Engagement Booster

Email Builder

The drag-and-drop functionality of the Email Builder makes it simple to create beautiful emails without any HTML knowledge. This brand-new tool comes with many other features, including:

  • A digital asset library that lets users store images
  • Email personalization using substitution parameters
  • Photo editing ability
  • Easy creation of buttons
  • Incorporation of social media icons
  • Ability to write HTML directly in the email
  • Linking to videos
  • Desktop and mobile previews

This feature is currently being beta-tested by nearly half of our client base. It will be available to all customers using the email tool in [Q3 2019].

Communication Preferences API

Integrators can leverage this API to set guest communication preferences from custom websites and mobile apps. Whereas guests had previously been limited to subscribing to or unsubscribing from all of your brand’s email communications, they can now control the frequency with which emails are received. As a result, the number of unsubscribes decreases. This API is available to all messaging customers leveraging the Paytronix API to support custom web and mobile experiences. To take advantage of this feature, contact a technical consultant about launching an integration certification project. The documentation can be found here: http://developers.paytronix.com/pxs_api_reference/guest.html?highlight=preferences#post-guest-updateMessagePreferencesLoggedIn.json.

Hospitality Booster

Multiple Favorite Stores

This new API enables guests to save multiple favorite stores on the web or a mobile device. This will provide a better experience for guests who frequent more than one of your locations. Marketers benefit from having more user-provided information on guests’ favorite locations. To take advantage of this feature, contact a technical consultant about launching an integration certification project.

JavaScript in WebView for Android Branded App

With this code change, you can leverage SSO web pages with more functionality. For example, when you have a WebView link with multiple tabs (as seen below), you can click to other tabs with the same SSO URL. This enhancement will be received by all clients on their next Paytronix Android app update.

New Dashboards for Geofencing

New and improved geofencing dashboards enable you to monitor your geofence campaigns in real time. This dashboard is available under the “Reporting” tab in the Geofencing Center, as well as in the Analytics tool under “Report Center.” Please see the screenshot below.

Geofencing2

Updated Merchant Error Messaging for Geofencing

Geofence messages are an effective way to drive guests into the store, and this provides clear, actionable instructions when an issue prevents a message from being saved. As the screenshot below indicates, an example is: “One or more special characters in the message are undeliverable.”
This feature is available to all messaging clients.

Ability to Send Campaigns 24 Hours a Day

The restriction that prevented users from executing campaigns between 4 and 6 a.m. ET has been removed. Marketers can now schedule campaigns to run 24 hours a day, which lets them determine the best time for sending emails to guests.

Note

Campaigns that are set to execute during a scheduled maintenance time will be paused and resume sending when scheduled maintenance is completed.
